Based on the same principle as Ultimate PREMIUM Cat & Kitten Litter the NEW Cat Litter granules are slightly larger (1.00 - 1.5mm) and just as absorbent. Because of the larger sized granules it is not recommended for kittens under 8 weeks. Research has shown that cats will scratch more vigorously than kittens when using the tray and the micronized granules in the Ultimate Cat & Kitten Litter can be ejected from the tray. The new Ultimate PREMIUM Cat Litter® reduces this.

Obviously Kittens produce less urine than adult Cats and so the new crystals are more absorbent and the litter comes in a handy 5lb. size which is enough for a healthy, average size cat for approximately 1 month. The same principles apply, “scoop the poop” and stir daily. Environmentally friendly, Ultimate PREMIUM Cat Litter® is landfill safe, can be disposed of safely in the garden or composted to enrich the soil. With time and moisture it will naturally degrade back to it’s original primary component, sand.

The Ultimate PREMIUM Cat Litter® is simplicity itself. Place a layer of about 2.5 inches of litter in the bottom of a clean litter box. After use, the litter will appear to clump. This is only temporary, for when your cat scratches the surface of the litter, this will disperse the clump allowing the moisture to spread evenly among the other granules.

A 5 pound bag should last an average cat for about a month. The only maintenance during this time is to regularly remove the solids with a scoop and stir the granules to evenly disperse the usage and prevent hot spots. It is very important to thoroughly stir the granules and break up any clumps at the bottom of the litter, it is not necessary to throw the clumps out, this will increase the life of the litter. When the crystals appear yellow throughout, then you should dispose of the entire contents, clean and refill the litter box with new Ultimate PREMIUM Cat Litter®.
